U.S. Women's Open Championship Returns 
Pine Needles Lodge & Golf Club in Southern Pines, N.C., has been selected by the United States Golf Association as the host site for the 77th U.S. Women’s Open in 2022. The championship, considered the ultimate test in women’s golf, will be held June 2-5. It will be the fourth time the Championship has been held at Pine Needles.

April 8 - Harness racing is a form of horse racing in which the horses race at a specific gait (a trot or a pace). However, they both pull a two-wheeled cart called a sulky. Like to learn more? Come experience the thrill of harness racing!

INTERESTING FACT:

For years, the area has been a significant center for the training of the country's finest standard bred harness horses, trotters and pacers, as well as hunting, racing and steeplechase thoroughbreds. In addition to being used for Olympic training and qualifying, it is home to five past Olympic equestrian champions.
